Mr. Akroyd serves the public by bringing a needed subject to light . It's not that UFO's or aliens are important ; even the most skeptical person would like to be safe on Earth . If he mentions Billy Meier in his film , then he points directly to a large fountain of information that will help toward that goal .
I agree, Billy Meier's info is interesting. If people would just take the time to go over it themselves rather that listen to all the disinfo out there.

Based on some of Meiers's pictures and wikipedia article about him, I'm pretty confident that the guy is a hoax.
Isn't he even asking money for the access to his gallery and so on?
Another mistake in this documentary was to show the defocused debree in the space shuttle camera and say that those were UFO's(http://www.rense.com/general19/new.htm).
Sometimes it seems like these people aren't doing a lot of research for these documents and therefore give a bad reputation to people who believe in E.T ships in the sky :)
