I thought it was a hilarious send-up on Hollywood and how an off-handed remark about a potential Oscar nomination can blow up in people's faces. Catherine O'Hara was incredible as a forgotten actress who thinks she's going to get an Oscar nod. I loved it when she had her face lifted so tight her face became a smiling void.

Watching her reaction to losing was amazing--she was so Botoxed and plastic surgery overdone that she could only react with her eyes and it was heartbreaking. She's always been a terrific actress, but I actually was rooting for her to get a REAL nomination...but no.
shareAgreed. I was dismayed that O'Hara did not at least get a nomination. I think she's going to be one of those brilliant actresses who consistently gets overlooked by Oscar because they're not "serious." Just a crime.
