Watched it last night

I must admit i kind of agree with an earlier post by Rowmorg.
I saw this last night on one of the cable channels for the first time. I will always remember where i was on 9/11 and goes down as THE most harrowing public event in my life so far.
However, this was more or less a romantic fairytale based on real life events. So many times (having read numerous accounts of what supposidly happened that day) i often found myself smiling at the tv and saying to myself "oh come on now.."

The eye witness accounts seemed to have to much of a "look at me" feeling than actual representation of the relatives that died.
i.e. "I see him/her all the time now, and i just hold him and tell him/her everything is okay..." erm, what ??? they all died you nut case....
I hate this kind of thing. It makes me want to scream at the tele.
I am not in any way trying to play down what the passenger went through or even did that day. But in all fairness this film was 90% fiction based on fact. No-one will ever know the true events that unfolded on flight 93. No doubt herioc attempts were made i have no doubt about that.
But to cheapen those events with poor acting and a fairytale type script cheapened the whole incident for me.

Of course not everyone will agree and im not just trying to create scandal. Just making a point that this show really pissed me off in a major way.

"%90 fiction?" So the ACTUAL phone calls that were made and recorded, the ones that detailed the passengers actual accounts/plans, the ones that were subsequently played word for word in the film, and the black box data that backs up the timing data of the actions. That's all "%90 fiction?" And I guess they give Emmy nominations to poorly acted movies all the time, eh?
