Where were you when this happened?

I know it's kind of off topic but I was just wondering if many of you remember where you were on September 11, 2001. I was only 11 when it happened . I was at school here in Natchez, Mississippi. My sister Victoria was in the school libary watching live news footage on it with her class. She thought it was happening in Japan and her friend thought it was happening in Germany. I hardly remember anything about that day except that I thought that the entire United States was about to be blown up and that a large commerical airliner (are they called 757s?) was going to run into the huge gas thingies we used to live by or that we were going to get blown up. I also remember that alot of people were at the gas station trying to get gas so they could run away or something.
When I watched the documentary a few days ago in french class becuase my french teacher's husband taped it. I was feeling so sorry for those people and then I remembered what I was doing on Sept.11. (FYI i'm 15 now)
So my question is where were you and what were you doing and thinking on Tuesday, September 11, 2001? (it was a tuesday wasn't it?)

i just watched this on TV. I feel so numb, anyone that didn't feel any emotion when the planes hit is dead inside. I was at home (for some reason but i should have been at school) it had just past 3pm and CTV was on (children’s program) but it was interrupted, i knew it was something big but i just turned over cause i wanted to watch TV i turned to like every channel and this thing was on. within 2 minutes i basically knew everything, they kept replaying the planes movements. i was confused and a bit scared they showed people jumping out the building, i couldn’t believe it cause they looked like dummies being thrown from the building. i was like 12

I would have preferred being far away and seeing things only on TV.

I am a former NYer, former Wall Streeter and lived in Alphabet City Manhattan. Here is how I say it. I saw way too much, remember the smells noises, etc. and choose not to tell others who were not there.

I now live in the South, where there are those people who just don't get it. A lot of people do not know what to make of it or cannot fully appreciate the effect of THOSE memories.

Farewell, and may the blessing of Elves and Men and all Free Folk go with you.
