Im watching this now and WTF!!!

i am an an hour into this film and nothing substantial has happened. I still dont know what its about, whats gonna happen. It feels like at any moment it may turn into a horror with some one like jason popping out of the closet. It may sound ridiculous but i think only that could save the rest of this movie for me. I mean this movie tries to be artistic but it fails, it tries to be suspenseful and it fails, it tries to be a thriller and it fails, it tries to be endearing and it fails. I will continue with the movie only out of shear hope that something interesting may happen but given the other reviews i doubt it.

P.S. is anyone else finding it hard to give a damn about the characters especially Elizabeth Shue

Ok now i finished watching it and still WTF. I liked the ending but i guess it was only because it was the only excitement in the film. I get the postpartum depression bit but still the director made more of an effort to confuse us then to tell us a story. You can justify it all you want but they threw in way too many plot holes and just because you can make up a plausible reason for why something happened doesnt make it the actual reason.

-I feel the Jenny story was a bad attempt to throw us off and make us wait for the boogyman

-half way through the film i was thinking "What a stupid doctor, just diagnose her with postpartum depression". But then again the movie made you think that maybe she wasnt crazy

-this was a 15 minute story that was extended to 90 minutes, i had to start watching the movie in fast forward to save some of my precious life

-and lastly this movie makes you have to just fill in the blanks with whatever we feel like filling it out with. No real answers to anything except lil clues that dont fit the puzzle as a WHOLE. Now if your proud of yourself and want to think yourself superior cause you can make up what you think the writer and director meant then by all means do so but dont you watch movies to see someone tell you a story. It like if i said "Mary ____ a little _____ little_____ little _____", sure you may be able to fill in the blanks but will you ever know thats what i really wanted in their. You may be satisfied but i as the story teller have failed.

i agree with you.. this is the most boring and ridiculous movie i've ever seen

To each their own I guess. Where it wasn't the best I've ever seen, it wasn't the worse and it sure beat the junk on cable at this time of night where I live. I wasn't THAT bad. It is what it is supposed to be, a B-rated movie. (I happen to like those). I actually happen to like all the movies people shred to bits. lol)
