Is this supposed to be a copycat / remake movie.. of another movie???

I see a whole list of First Born and there is a First Born from 1984. Is this supposed to be a remake? One of those lousy remakes from a 1960s movie. I'm surprised (unless they have and I haven't seen it yet) there isn't a remake of Audrey, the 1960s movie of the reincarinated little girl.
