Ex Machina: A Thoughtful and Thrilling Science-Fiction Tale

With “Ex Machina,” writer/director Alex Garland has delivered a thoughtful, thrilling, and entertaining science-fiction tale that ends up doing more with its minimal budget than some films of the genre do with several times such an amount.

Agreed. Amazing film. Haunting and beautiful score.

N-n-n-n-n-n-oooo. So boring. My husband got up and went do something in the garage in the middle of this. I never felt any empathy, sympathy, antipathy, or any other emotion toward the characters. The thing I liked most was the scenery. The house was set in a beautiful place.

Agreed. Amazing and very intelligent film. I loved the evolution of Kyoko, the real AI imo.
