Got an opportunity to see "The Dukes" last week.
What a wonderful film. It really hits on all cylinders...comedy, pathos, tragedy, drama, music...and it's so nice to see Robert Davi in something where he's not a dark or sinister character. Chazz Palmentieri was hilarious, and the feelings behind Bogdonavich's eyes were almost palpable. See this...you won't be sorry.
I saw it the other day. I wish I saw them sing more Davi has a good voice.
When they robbed the safe the instrument they used after they punched the hole in the safe was an orthorscope. You put the end in the hole you look through the eye piece it lights up at the end. So as you turn the dial of the safe you can see the tumblers open. As Ray Luca from crime story said after he used one after Paulie stole it from a hospital it is the best thing since bullets.
Turned out to be more of a fun movie than I expected.
