When he's in the bathroom with the girl
What was that about?
I just want some opinions, was she a hooker? his date for the previous night?
any thoughts?

It was part of what made the movie painful; disjointed scenes. I speculate that they were of the hooker / john relationship and just finished drugs and sex acts in the bathroom.

I am surprised you guys didn't understand that scene.
The blonde was an investment banker with Goldman-Sachs. She had just finished syndicating his secondary offering and was taking her share of the fees out of his affiliated person's shares.

Absolutely correct. But, she wasn't too thrilled with the drop in the first offering as she, personally, purchased a large amount on margin.

Yea, She's probably some hooker that Tom hooked up with because of his spiraling downward. I didn't think she was necessary, as the theme of Tom's being a womanizer isn't really prevalent in the film.
