I don't get the storyline with the nice looking black hooker, and the main character's obsession. In fact, does anyone watching this film care about that

What you makes you think she was a hooker ? I didn't mind the love interest storyline so much as find the end a bit bizarre, where he purposefully misses her show... couldn't understand why...and this point wasn't explained
