Rap legend Rev Run's teenage son Joseph Simmons Jr. was arrested tonight for possession of marijuana.
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ the 19-year old was seen allegedly buying the marijuana and rolling a joint while sitting in a car on Manhattan's Upper West Side. We're told he tried to get away by throwing his car into reverse, and nearly backed into the officer's car.

Simmons Jr, known as JoJo on the MTV reality show "Run's House", was also booked for resisting arrest, attempted reckless endangerment, and criminal use of drug paraphernalia.

My husband heard the same thing, actually he heard it on 1010 Wins news early Sunday morning 05/10/09. He told me about it because I watch Run's House. I was surprised to hear that. I hope this does not hurt or cause their Reality Show to be cancelled. I don’t know what JoJo was thinking and I know his parents and siblings are disgusted about what he did. By JoJo doing this their family’s image might be damaged now. This family does not look so squeaky clean after all. Thanks’ JoJo I was really looking forward to seeing Season 6.

i still love jojo and the family and i will support them all 100%.
runs house is one of my favorite shows. and it makes me laugh so yeah!

There's nothing wrong with marijuana. Most of the people that are against it have never even tried it, and for those who have and are against it probably didn't have a good time on it, and last I checked it's on the verge of being legalized.

We should be worried about bigger things then just "a 19 year old caught buying marijuana."

The reason it looked so bad was because Run essentially has a respectable family that isn't really into drama. All the children are normal and driven. They're all involved with something, even Diggy already has a clothing line. How many 13 year olds do you know who already have careers and are networking with Pharell? Ang and Vanessa aren't seen stumbling out of clubs, getting drunk, or doing drugs. The man's a preacher and his reality show is about a nice loving family with a sqeeky clean image (the only thing PG13 about the show is Uncle Russell swearing all the time and talking about requesting p-ssy and blow).

When you see news like JoJo getting arrested it's a big WTF? When I saw it on the show I couldn't believe it. You just don't think of Run's children being involved in that kind of stuff.

If we don't believe in freedom of expression for people we despise, we don't believe in it at all
