I remember watching this on my school holidays during the early nineties along with ITV programmes like Vicky the Viking, Inspector Gadget and Just For The Record.
Anyone else recall those magical days when ITV was a supreme childrens Tv channel?
Damn yes and they showed Samurai Pizza Cats, Dinosaurs and some live action thing about a group of kids in Greece or something. Can't really remember what that was about! ITV ruled when I was younger and now there's one hour of kid's TV a day! Disgrace! And nothing comes close to Ox Tales!
You guys are bringin' it all back to me. I was right there on those summer break mornings off school as well, tuning in to watch the very shows you mentioned - Vicky the Viking, Adventures of Kythera with Cody (the nice-looking one, not the gravelly-voiced moose!) would all be one and I'd watch them... but Ox Tales was the one I'd wait for - probably the funniest cartoon I've ever seen!
God I wish I could go back to those days, not a care in the world, the simple joy of being off school and watching all these fun shows to start off the day on a weekday morning with the sun shining in, instead of being at school... *sigh*
IMDB is missing Wowser, does anybody else remember that show? it was done in the same kind of animation as Ox Tales. Wowser was a big white dog, come on, Anybody??
Huh Wowser? I thought. Never heard of. Until I found out it's that show I used to watch all the time when I was a kid, except it's called Dommel in Dutch. I really loved that show. Me and my brother (now 20 and 19 :P) still sing the themesong every now and then out of pure nostalgia. (we've remembered the lyrics!)
I don't know if was made by the same studio that made Ox Tales. I'll find out.
