hmmmm

This show has been running in England for the past four or five weeks now, and I gotta say I'm loving the show, I think its great and addictive viewing, like I gotta watch it every week.

The only problem I have with this show is that the Websters have a African American maid, and she doesn't eat Sunday dinner with the family. I dunno, I find it a little 'back in the day', like to the times of Hattie McDaniel in Guess whos Coming To Dinner, and other 20's and 30's films who have a African American maid!! Is there a reason why they have her, or could they have had a white maid. Was it essential to the story line. I just find it a little 'old fashioned'.

It's been a while since this show aired in the States so I'm a bit rusty.
Could it be that Sunday is the maid's day off and she's out doing whatever she would rather be doing on her free time?
Hopefully you Brits will be able to watch the complete season. Unlike your poor American cousins.
