A more 'reality-based' show than you might think!

I am a pastor, and I know for a fact that many parishes are at least as dysfunctional as that of the St. Barnabas congregation. While the Webster family was over-the-top, they were very human and not unlike some pastor's families. I liked that about the show. I bought the DVD set and can't believe how well done this show was. One gripe: can we never present Jesus as someone other than a whimpy white guy? He was neither! I know it is a vain hope that HBO or someone else will pick up this show, but how desparately we need intelligent writing for "the rest of us!"
