Way ahead of it's time, wonder if it was started up in 2008....

If it could have survived longer. It had an "ecumenical" feel...with everyone's problems/quirks out there....very human. Miss it terribly.

I kinda doubt it, they cancel almost every single good show on tv. So it was no surprise that The Book Of Daniel was cancelled.

I wish some cable network would pick this up.

That is exactly what I had thought jpenebaker. A cable show could have done this without all the pressure of the controversy. I don't have premium channels but I have bought shows on DVD I have been interested in. This could have been a great cable network show.

Their first mistake was to not have this be on HBO or Showtime, no way was this ever gonna work on network television.

I agree, you called it exactly, the show was ahead of its time and I think if it was on today it would be a hit! It's a shame it only has 8 episodes and left it on a cliffhanger.
