the man killed by the caretaker is not a refugee but a war criminal who killed jews FOR hitler in the concentration camp.

Your half right, he was a nazi war criminal. But I think he was a german air pilot who was part of Hitlers' bombardment over half of England(including London and many other European countries)during WWII. Hence his constant mumbling about 'The London Blitz'.

I actually haven't seen this, but I've read the story. How do you guys know that he's the Caretaker? I've always wondered who that big guy was. Who is he?

He's simply known as "The Caretaker" or "The Janitor", but it has been theorised that he is a Jewish Holocaust survivor, and is Herr Wallenquist.

Frank Miller has never confirmed either.

Since Wallenquist has a brief role in A Dame to Kill For, it'd be nice if Alan Rackley were cast as him.
