Why didn't the baby lower the ladder?

What a loser!

reply

couldn't they have tread water and waited for the baby to grow up and radio for help?

reply

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Holy Sh!t I honestly just burst out laughing.

Ok John? Right?... Got it!

from a legal perspective, the www.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Duty_to_rescue is clearly incumbent on the baby who is convictable of failure to help a person in danger and therefore should be prosecuted and put to death (if not worse)!

It was strategically planned. The motif is clear (as posted below): "Obviously the baby had issues with his or her parents! The little one saw a chance to get rid of them for good not to mention scoring a yacht in the process."

I mean, it probably thought it could get away with it, pleading age-related mental incapacity, difficult childhood or just sail off to some foreign country, but no, it should have thought it through better ... it will be caught, as can be seen in the sequel: Open Water 3 - Killer Baby vs. Kindergarten Cop

(reply messages with better title suggestions are welcome!)

PS: I have heard Matt Damon is trying to get the role as the baby on the run (as an unofficial extension of the Bourne series. And Arnie has already announced he will slip back into his shoes as Kindergarten Cop (given his private miss-steps have made it hard for him to get any better role).

Yeah, what the hell! Sleeping the whole damn time. Lazy little prick.

"Oh my god! There's a bear in my oatmeal!"

I agree the baby was lazy...the actor that played the baby was awful.....

hahahahahahahaha... this is the funniest and best topic on this whole board. I gotta hand it to whoever started it... you made me laugh out loud the second I saw the title of this board.

And I gotta say... as one who has no experience with yachts... the thought of lowering the ladder would never have occurred to me before watching this movie. Or I would have assumed there was a ladder in place all the time.

Then again, I would have stayed on deck grabbing some rays... so I would have let them back up. Girls first of course...

reply

I can NOT stop laughing...you people are killing me! Ha!!! Lame movie, horrible acting, but just reading this thread made the whole experience worth it.

reply

Yeah THANK YOU. I totally agree with you.. I think everyone's being very harsh on the characters about the whole ladder situation. But I have to say, I don't have a lot of sympathy for the guy who was saying he owned the yacht. I blame it all on him, haha.

Speaking of the baby, personally I think it was dumb and irresponsible of the mother to even bring her baby on board where everyone was drinking and having a good time, enjoying a party atmosphere....certainly not a place for a small baby or child!! There is such thing as a babysitter or grandma!! lol

HeathBaby..Forever you shall be remembered. Sleep Well Love...

Sorry, but that hardly is reason to excuse the baby's inaction. Simply put, the baby thought he could simply veg while the others skinny-dipped themselves to death. If the baby thought he could use the bed, he should have gathered some sincerity and lowered the ladder. Lame little loser...

The actor that played the baby was actually a 22 year old contortionist from Romania and I thought he nailed the role perfectly.

reply

!

not only that, but the baby pis*ed all over the bed. do it in the water like everyone else.

Right you are! That baby was all about me, me, me.

And what was up with it ending up on the floor? It should have stayed in bed like a civilized human being if it was going to choose to sleep!

You guys really need to get a life !!!

reply

You guys really need to get a life !!!

Like the baby gave the others a chance at life?! Please, laziness in such an extreme scenario is definitely a reason to throw your arms up in disgust. The baby didn't even call the Coast Guard or anything!

Children are evil period...the kid definitely had a mean streak.

It would have been more interesting though if the kid was up there thwarting their attempts. Like untying the clothes rope and giggling while they drowned...
