I think that this movie was a fun watch and I pretty liked it.
I was kind of disappointed becouse people say that it's unoriginal and
dislike the film becouse of it's unoriginality.

I liked it. Considering the storyline was one I've never seen before, and the ideas of kids being zombies due to their "murders" in a mine is an original idea. If this movie went mainstream, people would have a fit that they had kids being the killers and little zombies surviving on cannibalism.
Yes, it was predictable and "easy". Horror movies are supposed to be simple. Their only criteria is murders and blood. How the murders are done and the blood is seen can range, but horror movies have never been a genre to make one use their mind. Horror movies are an easy form of entertainment. You don't have to think, you just watch. In these days, we've pretty much seen everything (meaning those of us who are big horror fans and watch all horror movies good and bad) so nothing will be a shock or a scare.
So, Shay, I agree with you. I liked it. Horror movies are not supposed to be "difficult" and considering there's only so much one can do in the horror genre, why have any expectations? Just enjoy the movie for what it is, a simple form of entertainment.

shareI agree it was a fun movie. Lots of different emotions going on; groaning at the bad choices the family keeps making, laughing at the cute little zombies, jumping at shock scenes and squeamish at the gore ones. This horror film kept me entertained. And most of the annoying characters get killed. It was great. It had a quality to it that just seemed to work for me.
For the detractors of the movie, some of the criticisms aren’t that strong.
1) The family inherits a house; they didn’t know it was a POS with zombie kids till after they got there. I can relate to this, I knew the crack house I purchased was going to be a “fixer-upper” before I even got to it. But I still moved in, with little zombies and all running around.
2) Kids are dumb, let’s face it all of can share multiple stories of us or kids we know doing dumb things. Up until the teenagers are getting whacked they believed the zombie kids to be an urban legend. We the audience know we are watching a horror film, I guess someone forgot to tell the characters of the story that they were in one.
Of the HorrorFest Films this on was my favorite. Different Strokes for Different Folks and all.
