In the scene where the teens get attacked by the zombies, Sarahs date is pushing the car, while Sarah is on the gas. Then the two chicks sees the zombies approach and yell for the guy to get out of there... But he can't hear them, because of the car engine.
So, Sarah, while trying to tell your boyfriend to get out of danger, why don't you let go of the *beep* gas so that he can hear you?

kind of the opposite to that was a little bit later when the driver of Mr. Carlton's car who did NOT step on the damn gas even when the zombies were smashing out the windows and grabbing at the people in the car. Why didn't the driver floor it immediately and get the hell out of there?? Instead we wait for about half a minute before the car finally takes off. lol
shareWell, in the case of the Carlton car, the children had punctured the tires (and damaged the axles, by the sound of it) with their pickaxes, so they weren't able to get very far. Sarah was just scared and not thinking clearly. I think she was just trying to get the car clear and hope that by making it move it would throw the car forward before they could reach the boy (whose name I never caught).
