I had lived in Tunny's house!!!

I live in Sofia, Bulgaria, which is very close to the shooting location of the movie - as a matter of fact it's in a nearby mountain. about 10 years ago i used to go to that house with my family every summer - it was a mountain hostel in these days:) i heard that i was abandoned and haven't been there for about 5-6 years. having no idea where the movie was shot i started watching it and you could imagine my reaction when they arrived in the house - i jumped as being stung by a bee!!! next thing i checked imdb about the movie details and saw that it was shot exactly at that place! funny thing, the hostel was a nice place to be in the hot summer:) now i don't think i want to go there again:)

Wow, that's so interesting! Funny that it ended up becoming a place that gives off an unsettling mood, when it was once a nice retreat.

it is located in the vicinity of a mountain near my home town - Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria. i'm planning to visit it again this summer just to take some pictures, which i might post here:)

Few hours ago i watched "The Abandoned" and i was very surprised to see the house AGAIN:) this seems to be the creepiest place in Eastern Europe after count dracula's castle:) the only difference is that in "The Abandoned" the house is represented as being close to a lake.

I would they have travelled to Bulgaria to make this movie
Why couldn't they have just made it in the USA somewhere?

probably because it's much much cheaper to film in Bulgaria

And you are labeled "Buzz Kill." What's the matter with you? You can see from the other posts that people find this interesting; it was actually the first title I chose to read on the WLT board. Why call the guy a liar?
