John Sullivan indicated in February 2007, to the Only Fools and Horses Appreciation Society, that "some old faces may be seen over the next couple of series".
A third series is currently filming and is to be broadcast on BBC one in its regular Friday night primetime slot around early September. The series will focus on the mysterious "thing" that the Driscoll brothers buried in the series two finale.
The first series of The Green Green Grass, including the 2005 Christmas Special, was released in Region 2 (UK) as a 2-disc set by 2 Entertain Video on 23 October 2006. The second series dvd boxset is due to be released in early September, which is when the third series is due to be aired.
