Where's Udo?
Why is Udo Kier not in this? I like watching him in Lars Von Trier films as it is good to see him in actual films and not horrible things like Dracula 3000.
shareUdo doesn't speak Danish (his lines were dubbed in "Medea" and "Riget"). I'm guessing this is at least part of the reason he wasn't in "Idioterne" and why he won't be in this either -- both films are in Danish and the Dogme rules don't allow post-synching.
shareWow. I didn't think anyone would actually respond. I was not aware of that. I have unfortunately not seen Medea, Riget, or Idioterne yet. It's funny though, when I first looked at Riget, I remember thinking that it was cool that he spoke Danish.
shareWell, yeah, but DIREKTØREN FOR DET HELE isn't a Dogme95-movie, so...
To me, it'd be strange to see Udo Kier (although a great, great, great actor) in DIREKTØREN FOR DET HELE since it's such a Danish movie with such a Danish mentality. I like Kier in Trier (wow, their names rhyme) movies too, but it would just be plain wrong in this one.
