Am I the only one who's tired of actress Iben Hjejle showing off her body and/or having intercourse in most, if not all of her films?
sharePerhaps it is just a trademark of hers to have sex in all films. Anyhow, I thought it made a pretty good joke in this film with her trying to prove to him, that all he needed was to have sex with a woman to cure his supposed homophilia. I laughed, and so did the rest of the people in the cinema I was in.
shareWell, she doesn't do it in "Blinkende Lygter"... don't know what it's called on english. Flashing lights or something... I don't think she do it more often than every other actor.
But maybe that's just me... wouldn't know.

I agree with the author of this post. It's typical of Lars von Triers comedy (when he stays of this he's brilliant) to overdo the sex-jokes. Sex is just not that funny... And yeah - it is ultratypical of Iben Hjejle to play those kinda slutty/bitchy roles, which is why that is not funny anymore either.
Ok, Iben we have seen that you can play an annoying independent sexually liberal woman - now, can you do ANYTHING else?
Actually a lot of times sex IS pretty funny ;)

In some ways I agree with you though, she's done a lot of the same kind of characters but that's probably more about the directors lack of fantasy don't you think?

I am also very tired of Iben she is just the same in all her movie, she can only play one character and that's it. Iben stay with Clown or klovn as we say here where i'm from.

Yeah bobafett---majority rules and most (including me) want to see Iben have sex... on film or in real life, or perhaps even participate and also share stories about experiences in a forum with Iben.
i don't get to see many danish films where i'm at (cali, usa). i have neither seen any of the films that she was in which are mentioned here, nor have i seen her before; but, i'm (also) here to say that i wouldn't mind seeing this - allegedly one-dimensional - actress in more roles where she's playing characters who have sex :-)
in fact, more sexually-liberated danish actresses in sexy danish films! :-)
as one poster here put it, she's attractive, and definitely spices up a movie - good or bad.

As an American (from "the states") I only know her from the movie High Fidlity where she had a minor lovescene with John Cusack in the back of a car after her father's funeral. i remeber the line she tells him just as she straddles him (the rain is beating down on the hood and everything looks very cold and dreary) she says, "I knew there was a reason a wore a skirt today."

Iben Hjejle er dejle..Can't get enough of I.H. So if I may be as solipsistic and presumptive as BF: Yes, you are the only one. There cannot be another person anywhere at anytime or any dimension who is tired of Iben's behavior particularly when that behavior leads to nudity og "puling".
