OK, somebody help me out here...

Who was the Hannibal Lecter style guy all chained up in the bowels of the hospital and what was his connection to Jenna and the nurses, or with Bloody Mary? He sure seemed to know a lot about Mary but it was never really explained who he was or what he had to do with anything.

Also, why was the seemingly nice doctor suddenly trying to kill the cop? What was his connection? That just kinda seemed thrown in at random.

I have to admit that I watched this movie late at night after quite a few Pabst Blue Ribbons so I may have simply missed something, either that or the movie just wasnt' very well written. Anybody help?

I assumed that patient was the orderly Mary maimed back in the 70s.

When the doc reaches for something in the filing cabinet you see that he has those gross "Mary boils" on his wrist. Both doc and Jenna (to an extent) seemed to be under some kind of spell of Mary's and when the mirror was smashed the spell as broken.

OK, it's been five years, but maybe somebody else will read these and reply, and I wondered who that guy was, too.

I assume the OP means Johnny, the guy she Jenna talks to about Mary, after blackmailing, sorta, her boss to let her into his cell. But he'd have to be in his mid- to late-sixties if he was that orderly?? (Yeah, like everything else in this was logical . . . )
