Looking for a copy of this with English subtitles

So I watched the region 1 dvd but there were no captions. Both I and the person who watched with me were a little lost and would like to see this again. I have a region free dvd player. Any suggestions?
Thanks.

Yeah, I was a little miffed when the Redbox rental of Bathory: Countess of Blood was NOT subtitled in English like the Redbox blurb said it was. The only menu choices were "Play" and "Chapters". Amazon has advertised it the same way but they are also incorrect. NO subtitles in any language.

That said, I liked "Bathory" okay. It was a arthouse costumer rather than a horror movie. Quick scenes of lovely countryside and villages interpersed with hard-to-keep-up-with wonderfully-dressed violently insane characters made the two hour, twenty minute runtime go faster than I thought it would.

I would actually consider buying "Bathory" on Blu-ray if it was subtitled in English, optimally SDH (Subtitled for the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing) and had a few extras. Oh, and also reasonably inexpensive.

But as of this posting, the Region 1 DVD has no subtitles so you might want to check and see if the PAL/Region 2 version has subtitles.

In fact, I'm going to see if there is a Region 2 version with English subtitles. Thanks for bringing this up, Lav.

There is nothing odd about English language dvd's not having English subtitles, especially for smaller releases like this.

"IMdB; where 14 year olds can act like jaded 40 year old critics...'

What...? At the time if your post, it was 2014.

Not everyone has the ability to hear well.... or hear at all.
