I think some of the supporting roles were well played but I think Hallie Berry took lessons from the Adam West/ William Shatner school for for OVER acting.
The movie was ok... sorta like Intervention only alot longer with less sympathy.
halle berry is pitiful in this film. can't agree more with the op. del toro and duchovny's performances are passable, but really the writing in this film is too over the top and emotionally manipulative for anything to be taken seriously.

She has this voice and look that she does (in this film it happens when Del Toro is describing heroin to her and she says "I want to try that") where she seems to be attempting seduction...and it comes off really slutty dirty and uncharming. She does the same thing in Monster's Ball and that one with Bruce Willis.
