Well , I have watched this a few times now - its taken its place as one of my all time favourites. Its a movie full of compassion that makes you think as well. One thing that perplexes me is why Jerry tells Kelly that he has 2 kids but says to Harper " I never pretended to be yor daddy" Any thoughts??
shareThis might be a superficial explanation, but I got the feeling he said that as a turn-off. Because Kelly obviously has a crush on him, and I'm pretty sure he knows this from the start, and Jerry has different romantic aspirations, so he just wanted to manifest his disinterest. Of course, I'm not saying that he didn't also say that because he grew fond of the kids and all, but I think this might've been a part of it too.
