She basically gave up her dream so that she could stay with her boy toy...Thanks Disney, teaching little children that sometimes its okay to let go of things you once cared so deeply about.

We must have been watching different movies then. The one I saw had a Dad who had a dream of his daughter being the youngest to make the Olympic team. The daughter wasn't sure what she wanted except that she wanted to experience different things (including dancing which she had an obvious talent for). She was also a very selfish player on the field who had a lot to learn about the game (and team sports for that matter). Watch the part where she and Regina are talking before the big game and then tell me who cared more deeply about soccer.
shareYour're absolutely right! She took control of her life and opted for what she wanted and made her happy, not for what someone else wanted and their dream. I think that's a pretty good life lesson.
