The game installed fine, but the error message 'DirectX unrecoverable error' keeps coming up. I ran through the FAQ and scan but no errors were reported. I have a Dell Inspiron 6000 and similar games, like Half Life 2, were installed and worked well. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
shareMake sure you have the most recent copy of directx. If not, use the one that comes on the disk. See if that helps.

How can you have install problems with console game ;) you should go to Call of duty 2 (PC) page no matter it doesnt exist!

Do you have DirectX 9.0c? That was my problem, but i found a way to fix it. Run "dxdiag" and find out if DirectX 9.0c is the version you have.
