Heard about this movie and couldn't help but be reminded of this old 1979 tv movie-cum-short-lived television show starring Andy Griffith in the Billy Bob role; http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0079847/

Replace farmer with scrapyard owner and you pretty much have the same story.

Duke, sorry about the late reply, but you are exactly right. I thought the same thing. I immediately thought of Sheriff Taylor when I saw this movie. I wish we could have had VCRs and DVRs back then to record short-lived shows like "Salvage 1".
