I hope Lucas continues on with the success of Adam Elliots 'Harvey Krumpet'!

Theres just one thing i want to know. What type of animation is it?

It's sort of a silhouette type animation-very arty. I didn't mind it.

I just saw this on BBC4 - the animation was really amazing and the film was terrifying in parts, thank god I saw it

It is found objects and CGI. If you can get hold of the DVD, it's all on the special features.

There's a 3 disc DVD out with Jasper Morello, Harvey Krumpet & Birthday Boy on it. I haven't been able to find it yet but what a great combination!!

I hope it's okay to leave an URL here, but if you check out this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shadow_puppet you'll find that shadow puppetry is an ancient artform from mostly Asian countries.

I saw a troupe from Indonesia once when they came to Australia and gave a performance of their wayang kulit show.

This wonderful Jasper Morello short film definitely reminded me of the wayang kulit performance I saw!

From the Wikipedia page, it appears there are other versions of it in China, Thailand, Turkey and France.

It was also an inspiration for the Gotye video "Hearts a Mess".
Works well in the video clip, although it isn't precisely like this movie :)

That is one of the most gorgeous, heart-rending songs & the video clip is fantastic.
