God, people like this never fail to piss me off...
Many, MANY children auditioned for roles in this film, particularly the teen-male role...myself included.
Because you audition for a film DOES NOT MEAN YOU ARE ANYWHERE CLOSE.
Sifting through all the trollish, leetish crap on these boards to explain simple logic is stupid work but some one has to do it.

I know exactly who got the main part of the daughter of Toni Collette. She goes to my school here in mt barker, South Australia! she's in the ninth grade, 1 grade under mine. Its really exciting, shes adorable! Most of all a great actor!

I'm auditioning for this film on Thursday. I think they're filming it at my school, which will be so cool! It's the one time being short comes in handy! But at least 70 are auditioning in my school alone, so it's pretty slim I'll get the part.

shareA girl who lives down the road from me auditioned and won the part of a schoolgirl in the film. I assume it's a minor role, but she has lines... I don't even know the name of the character she's playing.
Pisses me off though, she got the role through her school Marryatville, which is a Public school obviously.
It seems casting is only going on at Public schools, so my stupid Private school doesn't get any interest at all.
