Halloween 3

Thankfully they added this film as I see it as one of the best in the series.
Tom Atkins interview is great, it is brilliant to be able to hear his thoughts on the film so a big thank you to whoever made this possible.

As for Buddy Kupfer saying he thinks this film does not belong in the Halloween series, he can take a long walk off a short cliff. That guy really does not know what he is on about. Its got more to do with Halloween then Michael Myers, it is the last connection with John Carpenter and what I call the Halloween Family, and has possibly one of the greatest horror soundtracks of ALL TIME - No I am not kidding.

Plus I think it is a damn good film.

So this DVD is great - and I for one appreciate Halloween 3 getting its much deserved recognition.

I like the soundtrack too. My favorite track is "Drive to Santa Mira" which sounds kind of similar to one of the themes in the first film.

It must be hard to only watch 8 movies, ever.

"If that happens again, to anybody, you're gonna jump to YOUR conclusion!"

Halloween 3 is one of the best of the series? You must be joking. It is a bad movie and a rip-off of Invasion of the Body Snatchers. It didn't even bother me that it had nothing to do with Michael Myers - it had jack to do with Halloween.

Alright, please explain what "Halloween 3" has to do with the day, let alone the first two films in the series.

The original "Halloween" was basically a slasher film with a killer on the loose on the day of October 31st, by pure happenstance. The ending suggested an invocation of the supernatural. Other than that, it has little to do with themes of the Celts or pagans. Same with Halloween II, which may have more to do with how a hospital is run with a drunk doctor and amorous nurses than the holiday itself. Its only tenuous connection to the holiday is the fact that it is still set on that same Halloween night and kids are either eating apples with razor blades or are mistaken for Michael Myers.

Now Halloween 3 might come closest but only by a hair. Stonehenge figures prominently, as well as robots and death masks and television rotting away childrens' imaginations. I do not mind a cheap B movie or a Myers-less sequel but it should be an entertaining B movie. Halloween 3 is poor in all departments and hardly scary at all, but that is just my two cents.

I enjoyed Tom Atkins' interview too;
one thing bugged me though;
in the extended interview he says while shooting The fog Jamie was 19 year old and he was around 30, 31.
On imdb his birth year is listed as 1935, so he was 45 years old during the fog;
so either he's ashamed of kissing a 19 year old girl while he's 45; or his birth year is incorrect all over the internet.
