To everyone that wants to tie all the movies together...

After seeing this documentary do you now admit that H20 ignored 4-6? They even said so in this film!

reply

I always known that H20 ignored 4-6 and it was the worst thing they did. H20 wasn't any good and Resurrection was a disgrace.

Agreed.

Resurrection should have been a 15 minute film... Laurie gets killed... the end.

I think they should have overlooked 6 and then made 7 with Jamie still alive. That would have been the best option IMHO.

This is the end friend.

reply

Yeah that's a good idea, but then how would they explain who the man in black was?

reply

The chaos comics halloween line was the attempt to tie them together but the making of ressurection destroyed that and the comics are no longer canon.

reply

What do you mean no longer Canon?

The comics were never canon. It was pretty clear from watching H20 that it was never intended to be a direct sequel to 4-6. Anyone who ever tried to connect them was really reaching. A parent wouldn't fake their death and bring one of their kids with them and leave the other behind.

Hey, I love H20, but I will agree that Resurrection is a sack of sh!t

Halloween 4 was originally intended to not only bring back Michael Myers but to bring back Jamie Lee Curtis as well. She declined, and they went with a storyline involving her daughter. 2 films later the franchise was in deep trouble and coincidently Jamie wanted to revist her charater after a 20 year absence...hence the the dropping of the 4-6 storyline. How hard is that to figure out? Halloween 4-6 are gone forever...they aren't going back to them.

Just because the events of parts 4 to 6 aren't mentioned in H20 doesn't mean they still didn't happen. You can't erase everything that happened in 4, 5, and 6. You can ignore them, but you can't erase them. That was the whole point of having Laurie faking her death for H20. The only reason why Jamie wasn't mentioned was because they wanted to keep the plot as simple as possible and not mess it up with too many unnecessary details that would have only confused new audiences. But the fans of parts 4 to 6, like myself, know she still existed. That's also why they mentioned Dr. Loomis having died just recently instead of saying he died in the fire from part 2 and why the opening credits hinted at them with some of the pictures that were shown.

Also, I found this piece of information from the Halloween H20 trivia section to be quite interesting as well: "The reports that Kevin Williamson's original treatment for "H20" included a scene in which "Halloween 4" through "6" are acknowledged as being "in continuity" and "canon" are completely accurate. The scene did exist, and involved a bitchy student at Keri/Laurie's school giving a class report on the "Haddonfield Murders", and going into great detail about Jamie Lloyd, Danielle Harris and JC Brandy's character from "Halloween 4" through "6". The student talks about Jamie losing her parents in an auto accident, as was the explanation in those sequels for Laurie Strode's absence. (In fact, the only reason for Laurie to be in the Witness Production Program with her son under an assumed name as "Keri Tate" at all was because the original story for "H20" was conceived like this, with "Halloween 4" through "6" in continuity, and Williamson thus being required to create an explanation for Laurie's "death" in the previous movies and her subsequent resurrection.) The student's report chronicles Jamie's being hunted and eventually killed by her uncle, Michael Myers. Upon hearing this oral presentation in the classroom, a grief-stricken Keri/Laurie then retreats to a restroom and throws up. This scene was of course omitted from the actual film."

On another note, I'm a huge fan of all the Halloween movies (even part 3) except for Resurrection. I found it to be boring, pointless, and totally insulting to H20's perfect closure to this wicked series. So for me, that's the only one I choose to ignore. lol

Never a doubt BUT the original draft did actually reference Jamie Lloyd and Laurie's response to it, but they decided they wanted to concentrate on John and Laurie. I've actually written an outline that does actually make 4-6 work with H20 & Resurrection

Wayyyy late here, but I'd love to read that outline if you have the time. Pleeaasseeeee???
