Regina Hall, the psychiatrist

I was very pleased to see her acting in a role where she is not acting dingy and silly! I was very impressed with her skills and hope to see her in more roles like this.

I've watched this movie twice. Can someone answer this question? Was the affair between the husband and the psychiatrist real or all in her mind?

"ooo-hoo...Mu-FA-sa!"

In real life the husband had an affair with the nanny (Regina Hall).
In Danika's dream world she has made Hall her psychologist.

Exactly!

And that's why she said initially "I think you're too young for a psychologist", 'cause she remembers what the exactly same, young black female had done to her previously. She also said "I want to trust someone" - she trusted the nanny with her kids before, and this trust was betrayed, so she doesn't want to trust no one.
