Drummer from Marilion? Help!

I wondered if this guy really was? -No I'm not gullible, its perfectly feasible that a cameo like this could happen in film. I just wondered if it actually was but, I cant find the actors name to check it out?

No he wasn't , it was just a joke. I can't remember where I saw/read this but I remember it answering the same question I'd had!

No. Marillion have only had two drummers. Mick Pointer was the drummer on their debut album "Script for a Jesters Tear" and they fired him after the tour. He was (finally) replaced with Ian Mosley, who's is still the bands drummer to this day.

Pretty sure neither of them have ever acted.

At the risk of being called a pedant (which would be accurate in this instance!) Marillion have had 5 drummers to my knowledge. In between Mick Pointer and Ian Mosley they briefly had Jonathan Mover and John Martyr. Recently Ian Parr played a few dates with them as a temporary stand in. None of which detracts from the main point that this a completely fictional drummer in this film. I'll get me coat.😀

The film’s producers asked Marillion, the prog-rockers who hit big in 1985 with Kayleigh, for special permission to create a running joke around a fictional portrayal of the band’s drummer.

A spokeswoman for the band, a going concern for 34 years, said: “They showed us the clips. They were really funny so we said ‘yes’. We know Marillion are seen as ‘uncool’ but we were delighted to be a part of it.”
