Favorite part

I don't know why but I believe my favorite part of this wonderful Trilogy is Nigel Marven in the Ordovician, there is something about the immense period of time between then and now when the days were shorter and there were no plants, animals or insects on the land. It may as well be an alien world and I love that, it's just so *beep* cool!! And I could watch it over and over.

I too could watch it again and again, but I just missed a great opportunity to video the series as October 2006 was "Dino Month" on UKTV Documentary (United Kingdom).

one of my favourite parts would have to be part of the "Megaladon" segment, the eerie over-head shot of the monstrosity swimming directly underneath the boat. But my very favourite scene would have to be when the giant "Mososaurs" (sea serpents) knock over the little boat of Nigel and his crew, sending them straight into the beast-infested water; partly because of the sheer thrill, the great camera angles and commentery, but also because it is the only scene where more than one other of Nigel's team become in direct danger of being digested by the creatures. Great stuff!

I also love the opening sequence, which shows Nigel being chased by a Gyganatosaurus (I think), and jumping into the sea to avoid it's threatening jaws, letting himself in for an even bigger fright. Overall, a fantastic series!

Sarcosuchus' brief appearance.....the shot was very well-done and believable....and perhaps Dunklesteus and its monstrous armoured head...i use to read about it when i was a kid...

Sarcosuchus? You may be referring to "Metriorhynchus", the marine crocodile shown attacking the giant fish along with the "Hybodus" shark. Or you may be referring to Sarcosuchus in "The Land of Giants".

Dunkleosteus was one of my favourites as well, but I also liked The marine crocodile and the "anvil" shark.

I'm not very in deep waters, so I'll say the Arsinoitherium.

It's a terrific series.

My favorite part is the intro at the begining of the first episode where the narrators says;

"Nigel is about to learn about prehistory is that, no matter how bad things get on land, the one thing you should never EVER do, ... is get in the water."
