Non-Korean releases

Hi, does anyone know if this movie will be released outside of Korea? Japan, US, UK, The Netherlands (/mainland Europe)? Any information would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance,
Thomas

When is it actually released anyway? is it out in korea already?

reply

Yeah, I believe it is.

reply

Strange then... normally it should have some peoples' ratings already.

I mean... this is not so much underground that nobody cares about. At least I think so ^^

I want to see it ... NOW ^^ (I'll ask Jack Bauer if he could speak that out in his own unique way. He makes things happen quite fast, hehe)

OK, thanks!

So, do you (or anyone else, ofcourse) know how long it usually takes for a Korean movie to be released in Europe (or the UK) on DVD?

reply

Yeah, it's out already. I went and saw it with my 여자친구 on Saturday night. It was great. Take some tissue if you're going with a girl though.

Just saw this last night in Hong Kong (I'm Korean btw). Have seen hundreds of Korean movies in my life and this was one of the slower ones. Andy Lau's slow pace was annoying. I must have looked at my watch a dozen times. No breakthroughs here, very cliche and I was expecting something different with a HK director at the helm. I think the strategy here was for the HK producers to try to cash in on the popularity of Korean films these days in Asia by co-producing a flick which "feels" Korean. I think they succeeded. Too bad the story didn't do much for me but to be fair, my wife liked it.

The film was good until the two men are in the car. Won't say more not to spoil the scenario.

The movie should have stopped there... The end (maybe an other half hour or more) is totaly unrealistic and useless... Too bad the director did not manage to stop in time...

I actually find it often on Asian movie actually. There is 10 time in a movie where you think. OK it's the end. End title could come now but it keep on going and going and going... Don't you think ???

when can i get it in usa...and what other movies are as great as this that i might be able to see with subtitles.. i hate americans that change audio from korean or so to english.. they change the meanings to what they think is more funny.... and it never is.. if you watch a asian movie in english and read the subtitles is all difrent.. most of the time.. americans miss out a lot on good quality movies becuase they are lazy and dont wana read.. a good thia friend that was exchange student introduced me to asian movies.. im hooked for life..

Does anyone if the extra's are also subtitled in English?

Movie itself is subtitled so no problem there. But I also want to have the extra's subtitled.

reply

The extras of the Hong Kong Version a.k.a. Daisy Another Version are subtitled in English.
