Does anyone have any idea about the differences between these two versions? I've heard that Andrew Lau had made two different versions. My version shown at my hometown's length is 96 minutes. Is it the short version also mean the Hong Kong Version?

I seems not much people've seen this movie. I'm very lucky to see both versions now and I advise you guys to watch the Hong Kong Version one.
The review in the homepage of this movie, I believe the guy there's talking about the Hong Kong Version one.
The HK one is longer and requires ppl to think about the timeline and the plot when the Korean one is much shorter (96 minutes) and everything serves in a straight way. So the Korean version made me think that the movie's just a simple story.
It's very bad since the Korean version cut much of Jeong Woo - the Interpol cop dialogue and thought. So much people misunderstand him a bad person. In fact, he's much in love with the painter Hye Young.
The Korean Version started at the point of Park Yi - the killer in the start so much audience have a great impression with him from the very first time of the movie. When the HK one started with the point of Hye Young. So it's much fair for the Interpool Cop in this version.
And it's very strange that when I watch the Korean Version, it reminded me much of 'Infernal Affairs'. But when I watch the HK version, it still but less that the Korean one.
And the music's also different. With one scenes, in Korean version is one song and in HK Version it's another song. It made me feel watching two different movies, too!
A 7 for the Korean version and 9 for the HK Version.

Is the HK version overdubbed? Or is it in Korean?
shareUnfortunately the HK one is overdubbed, less enjoyable. I would prefer a HK version in Korean language.

So the HK version has scenes like showing a year later after the cop dies and the friendship between the hitman and the artist seems to be going sweetly?
I also recall a scene where she was taking the garbage but the hitman insisted that she goes inside and rest but she refuses. Her grandfather seems to encourage her to keep her friendship with the hitman.
i actually enjoy the korean version a lot better. it is better pace, better editing,the music goes better with the scene, n the movie flow better. also in the korean version, it is more focus with the main character guy, inwhich i think that is how the story should be since it is called hidden love. in the hk version, the movie seem super slow. i think most of the bad review are from the people who saw the hk version.
(spoiler) its a great movie , altho, i think it would have been better if the main character guy got shot a couple of times at the end after killing everybody, and with half a life left maded to the boss, and make a final stand off, got shot some more, killed the boss, and fall his back against the wall,slowly falling down to a sitting position against the wall n unable to move a muscle,, as he slowly dying, he think about the girl, while the daisy song is play in the background. then jump to the last scene with everyone at the bus stop. the end.

I guess a little of what u said exactly happens. I mean I felt that HE does get shot in the firing/encounter of the last scene. Because when he leaves the building we can see him drooling and walking as if HE did get shot. So may be he died too and that's why the last bus stop scene. Correct me if I'm wrong.
was a great movie ! wanted a happy ending, but we can't help it, that's how the movie should be (As it is now) !!
