Did the dad actually visit?
Spoilers obviously:
The daughter kept saying that the dad visited, but if he was dead, then why was she saying he visited? Was she actually lying like her mom said or what?

It was his ghost. I wondered about it too, then a few days ago I picked up a copy that had commentary from the director (among others) and they confirmed that it was his ghost. The little girl sees him, but the mother doesn't.
