Why this movie (that had zero logic) sucked.

Now that the boards are going down -- I have to FLAME broil this PIECE OF *beep* movie that:
1) Is depressing. You felt just depressed leaving the theatre. THIS is what passes for entertainment ? I guess.
2) Has no humanity.
3) ZERO logic !
4) Anyone ... in Hollywood ...could have done the Heath Ledger "Joker". Anyone. Brad Pitt, Johnny Depp etc. etc. Boring.
5) The narrative was jumbled and hard to follow. The script & dialog was trailing BEHIND the action and with descriptive dialog is trying to tell the audience "OK- this is why THAT just happened, audience" just in case you're rubbing you eyes going "Why the hell did THAT just happen ?" LOL
6) The scene with the 2 ferry boats. C'mon! That would not make it in a 1943 serial .
7) THIS is the movie that set the standards of all MULTIPLEX ACTION HERO MOVIES> Now everyone must TOP THIS. Oh Jesus Christ. It's all over and we are at the END OF CULTURE. Now every "action " movie must move at break-neck "Playstation" speed and try (not even trying really) try to add some dialog so the "script" can help people digest what has just happened on screen.
Oh how 1989 Batman now looks like a Doritos commercial during the Superbowl.
Well, have fun. It's been nice. Enjoy your crap.

It is supposed to be "grounded in realism" and BS like that, and yet so much of it is beyond absurd that it hurts the film.

I get what Nolan was trying to do. He wanted to stay away from the flash and color of the previous couple of Batman movies. Often times audiences are wowed by the flash and confuse that for a good movie. The problem is, the opposite was true hear and in TDKR. Audiences confused the morose tone of those movies for being quality. They think that because there aren't a lot of CGI effects or slick fighting sequences that the movie is actually good.

Huh? This movie moves at 'break-neck' speed? I mean I guess it does for Harvey, but other than that...

The future is in the hands of a man who has none.(As in no future, as opposed to no hands.)

I think Jared Leto disproved your point.

Oh, so this is the kind of thing that's the reason the IMDb boards got the heave-ho, sort of like pouring cement over a cesspool.

reply

Oh please. Compared to the DC films that came after it, this is "Citizen Kane"!

reply

And the sequel is Citizen Bane!

You should've pitched that idea when they were thinking of making "Suicide Squad".

Think of the suffering you could have averted, if they'd made your film instead!
