First Korean movie I haven't liked

To be fair, while I watch a lot of Korean movies, I specifically watch only movies I've heard good things about, or have pretty high ratings.

For this movie, I watched it only because it was the highest grossing Korean movie... so I figured I should check it out. Wow, that was bad!

The CGI was below subpar, the plot was dumb, and the non-Korean actors were super lame. Anyway, an all around bad movie. I'll go back to watching only Korean movies that are actually good!

I tried to get into it a few times, but I honestly did not like it at all.

The monster was nicely designed and executed, but it just wasn't scary. It looked like a big dorky tadpole on legs.

The family was annoying and seriously beyond moronic. Well excluding the sister.

The monster was introduced way too soon, and in all it's glory. So you weren't in awe whenever it appeared after the intro.

It was way too long, I had to pause a few times because I would nod off.

It wasn't horrible, but I don't have any desire to want to watch it again.

I agree, this is the first Korean movie I haven't liked. Most of the time I feel the weighted score for Korean films should be higher, the one for this movie should be much lower.

I like the main story about how the encounter with the monster has brought together a broken family and it has some terrific scenes like the family feast, very similar to the director's other film Memories of Murder, but all the subplots are a mess and make the film boring I was on my phone half the time.

If Ari Gold saw Chappie he would say:
"Chappie makes Elysium look like Citizen Ć’vcking Kane"
