Fascinating, touching, and very honest

I just watched the DVD of "51 Birch Street" and was really impressed with how open and honest the partcipants were. Although they didn't know that the footage would end up being seen around the world, I feel that it took great courage to answer questions such as when Doug asked his dad "Do you miss Mom?"

I applaud everyone involved in this film. It really struck a chord with me, and I used several tissues during the course of the movie. A really excellent film, which I will recommend to friends.

It was very well done! I was fascinated with this seemingly "ordinary" couple & family. I couldn't believe how caught up I got into it.

Highly recommended!

This is a superb film that is alternately very sad but very hopeful, and it's a credit to the director for making such an honest documentary. There's are no heroes or villains here – just ordinary folks caught up in circumstances they weren't sure how to control. 8/10 stars.

Doug asked his dad "Do you miss Mom?"

The saddest part of the documentary for me was when Doug's dad replied "No."
