Kendra's Autobiography
I used to post here a few years ago, when my wife and I would sometimes watch "The Girls Next Door" for laughs. I was astonished to discover regular posters here who insisted that Kendra was some type of role model or person to be admired rather than an object of disgust or pity. In a bookstore the other day I noticed Kendra's autobiography "Sliding Into Home" on display and sat down with a copy to satisfy my curiosity.
I recall how vehemently some of the unfortunately misguided Kendra fans would spring to her defense here, when I or others would describe her as a stripper, drug addict, high school drop-out and prostitute, each of which was self-evident to anyone with any sense watching any of the episodes.
A quick perusal of her own account of her life up to the age of 18 confirms each of these descriptions as accurate, in her own words. It was really a very sad life, which at least Kendra herself has the sense to admit.
I guess there will be quite a few disappointed acolytes on the board.
