That's cool. Might seem insignificant to some but I'm sure it had an impact on your mom and she probably passed on the experience somewhat to you. The movie 'Terry' is airing right now on CTV so that's how I got here. Before the movie, there was a CTV special on cancer and the ways it's fought today in laboritories, etc. and the impact Terry's run had/has on research. Cuba has the world's second largest Terry Fox run after Canada. It was amazing to see a thousand or so Cubans ready to start the run, with music going in the background... a song saying something like, 'a hero from Canada.... Terry, Terry, Terry, Terry...'

That's so cool! It's too bad that I myself has never even gotten to meet someone or anyone as iconic.

I remember my P.E. teacher telling me a story about how he also got to meet Terry himself. He was driving home and pulled over his car when he saw Terry running. Got out, and went to shake his hand.

Now I think that's just a neat story!
