This film deserves more love.

I'm a bit surprised to see that this film hasn't yet become a cult item already, guess the very limited showing it has recieved outside of Asia hasn't helped in that aspect. The film is far from perfect, and the second half runs out of gas and seems to get even a bit lazy in some aspects. But neverless the amount of ideas, and the creativity the film displays while handling said ideas deserves it's share of respect. The detractors of the film will come with the usual "style-over-substance" criticism, something true to many films, but with the right films it actually works in benefit of the idea. All i can say is that i had a ton of fun, way more fun than with other "style-over-substance" flicks that seem to get adoration to no end (Fight Club, Kill Bill)

SARS Wars seems to be very much in this vein, i'll chech that one too.
