That is what I thought of this movie. I really enjoyed reading the books, but when it came to the film I was completely disgusted! Sure, I know that some people will say it is an adaption, which it is I'll admit. But this Disney made for tv didn't quite hack it for me...does anyone else feel that it could have been better if it were a big-budget Hollywood movie with unknowns playing the twins and keep it closer to the book??

No, you are totally right, stoolfan. This is by far the worst adaptation I've ever seen. I suppose that on its own, the movie would have been ok, but considering the books, it was not even worth calling it Twitches. Would it have been hard to make it even a little like the books? Not at all...
I vote that they make another adaptation, maybe an indie flick or something. Also, does anybody know who the girl(s?) were on the covers of the books? I bet that they would have done well as the characters in the movies.
The book series has such a better story, and you can identify with the characters much better, because they seem real, not fake and done up like this movie... Which was considerably upsetting as the Mowry sisters are much better actors than their performance...
Maybe the fans of the book series could make a petition for the film rights... an make the movies how they should have been... Not suckish.
Or, maybe they could do a television series... five or six episodes a book? This would be even better, as they could cover everything, and more T*witches for us. I could just see myself sitting at the televison, with a bowl of popcorn, gushing at the awesomeness... I could definitely see some network being interested in this...
