Beau Thorne's Screenplay

Read the fourth draft (written in August 2007) and noticed the movie cut out some sizable action beats. Mona's character is better formed and the twist has a few extra layers too. Definitely a bit better than the finished film from a narrative stand-point.

Anybody else read the thing?

No i haven't but if you would you mid sharing what was sliced out??

There is deleted footage in some of the trailers to max payne

Most noticeable scenes

Max and Mona are attacked at the Tattoo parlor
Mona Stalks someone in a warehouse - she is also dressed in a big fur coat and appaears to be wearing something lacy.

Comic Con ran an action reel set to the music of ACDC - so i know there has to be more action, plus John Moore Promised a "Gamers Dedicated Director's cut of the Film" which we have yet to see.

The Director's Cut isn't coming. The film's built in fanbase hated the movie more than anybody, so yeah, if that ever happens it's because it's already cut in a vault somewhere and will be bungled onto a future format release. Back in 2008 home video releases were also more event like, nobody cares much now.

As for the script, it's been four months so it's hard to recall, but all those beats from the trailer are there. The section in the tattoo parlour also makes better sense, and you can feel that was definitely shot, and just nixed badly in the feature edit. It's also quite a violent scene, so the studio might have shaved it to nab the PG-13. A random Junkie who whelps run the parlour attacks Mona and Max with a knife btw, upon hearing who they're trying to investigate.
