Similarities to Argento's PHENOMENA *SPOILERS*

I noticed quite a few... Anyone else notice them? This was almost a revamped version of that film. Both contain the follwing (Some spoliers ahead):

A murder mystery being solved by a female who has visions (both have a sleepwalking episode where they are found on the ground outside).

An opening scene involving a bus (or even the later bus scene in Phenomena).

An often operatic score.

Insects are a dominant part in Phenomena but one is a clue in Beneath.

Almost the entire ending -

The lead figuring out she is in the prescence of the killer and escaping
throughout a hidden "labyrinth" of rooms within the house.

The double-twist of an additional killer (one a deformed wife, the other a
deformed son both hidden out of fear and love).

The approach to the "creature" hidden under the house along with a fight
that leads into an underwater struggle (there is also an underwater "pool"
in Phenomena just as in Beneath though the fight in Phenomena happens in a
lake).

There are many more. Did anyone else notice this? Phenomena was an obvious inspiration.

You HAVE to see Phenomena, it's terrific! And features a teenage Jennifer Connolly, who is gorgeous.

I thought that sounded familar and I realized I saw that movie when it was called Creepers.

I liked that movie and it has been such a long time since I have seen it.

If you don't have much to begin with, then you don't have much to lose.

Have seen it now... agree! it is great. Perhaps has even surpassed Suspiria as my fav Argento flick.

I'd add there was a little tribute to "Twin Peaks", with the mourned Don S. Davis (major Briggs in Lynch's masterpiece) attending one of the red herring scenes (with the first one of them having a very Twin Peaks-esque mood, with the grandmother walking indifferent and stopping with apparently no reason, all backgrounded by some kinda lounge music).
