Wasn't there a non-spazzy way the ambassador coulda finished the job?

Why smash through his own gate on the way to the church, why not just open it? He really didn't need to attract police attention.

Okay so maybe he was rattled from the nanny, but what was his plan to begin with?

Why not put in a little advance planning since the fate of the world was at stake?

How about coming home with a detail of armed guards to sweep the house and get rid of any vicious dogs or psycho nannies?

Well he had just killed Mrs Baylock, so was probably afraid the guards would detain him for questions once they found her. He also thought that Big Nick was on his tail so probably wasn't thinking rationally at that moment.

Well the thing is he should have figured, & was outright told, that the nanny would do anything possible to stop him from killing Damian. Knowing this, he should have killed her while still in the house, up in the boy's bedroom. He should then have hogtied the kid, gagged him, & thrown him in the trunk, while the car was in the garage or otherwise obscured. Then he should have calmly drove to the church without being followed and take care of business properly. Instead I guess we're supposed to believe that he lost whatever capacity for rational thought he previously possessed, leading not only to his own demise but that of the rest of the world as well. Sequel anyone?
